Latest Addiction

February 12th, 2008 | Category: WWW

Alright so as all my friends know, I love the television show “Heroes”. Before the writer’s strike I had it arranged where I could leave work early so I wouldn’t miss a minute. Recently I stumbled upon a facebook application where you are given an ability, health, and experience and you form groups and attack others. As you rank up you are able to  get more attacks and more abilities. The name of this application? very appropriately it is called “My Heores Ability”. The abilities are all based off of the shows characters and range from super strength to healing. All I can say is that I crave power and respect. Go Sword Saints

Database and Systems Consultant

February 12th, 2008 | Category: Jobs

So I got a random message from a man asking me if I could do some computer work for him. He did not tell me who he worked for or what he wanted me to do but left his name and number. I didn’t get the message till after six so I waited till today to give him a call.

When I called him the gentleman seemed laid back. He began by asking about web design, and my heart fluttered…yes I said fluttered. He went on to explain that he was unsatisfied with his current web designer and wanted to create a database of his contacts. So I dug a little deeper and discovered he wanted an in house database…SCORE!…and that his partner wanted to keep using outlook and their domain email accounts but it was so over loaded with spam he was struggling to sort out the good from the bad. But wait that’s not all. He also has an auto dialer (one of those machines that randomly calls you and sounds like a robot is on the other end) that he would like rebuilt and updated so that the information could be easily transfered into the database. So I humored him and discussed some options with him, and low and behold I landed a sit down to discuss it further.

So needless to say I have been quite stoked today, and really hope this works out because I can do the work in my spare time, 2 jobs=2 times the money…hells yea

A Chinese boy who couldn’t afford A Transformers toy instead create his own amazing masterpiece out of KFC lunch boxes using the motto by Chairman Mao ‘People can achieve anything he wants in case of his courage’ as his motivation. He loved absolutely the Transformers movie and after watching it decides to show his passion by creating this awesome model which had more than 60 movable joints and 36 cm tall. This is one of the more impressive models I have ever seen. More pictures after the jump.

Pepsi EnAble Super Bowl Ad

February 06th, 2008 | Category: Advertising, TV

This ad was actually run before the Super Bowl during the pre-game show and hands down was one of, if not my favorite. Now before we go stepping on toes, pay attention to the begining, and realize that the commercial has gotten great reviews from the deaf community. Enjoy.

Another Beautiful Saturday That I Had to Work

February 02nd, 2008 | Category: Rants

Yep, so it was another one of those Tennessee days where the temp peaked out in the uper 50s lower 60s (in February mind you), the Sun was shining and I was trapped at work until dark yet again. Not that I hat my job, most days I do enjoy it, but I really need a new job, one that will actually use my brain and be focused somewhere near my major if not directly related. I am almost to the point of considering sales. I did it once before for a company who has since changed names due to an extremely bad reputation for lying and screwing over unsuspecting customers, but maybe this time I could find an honest sales job? But, we will see how that goes since I still have not ruled out the possibility to return back to school for a second degree.

Well In  other news I think I may be taking a trip out to knoxville before the end of the month to get a little change of pace. I’ll be crashing with one of my buddies for a weekend and who knows what kind of trouble we will get into. I think I may take the lego man costume with me.

Another Site, Another Design

February 02nd, 2008 | Category: About

Yes it is that time again as I change servers, drop the dot com, and revamp the site for the 8th time. This time I have gone with simplicity versus all the complicated versions of the past. I am still in the process of putting everything together as I tweek the theme, add the Niterat logo (which may also get a face lift), and install all the features that I see necessary for regular usage. With the new ease of use gaind from switching to word press, post will be easy to put up and post so check back frequently for new information as well as old blog post added to the site (”sometimes there are new things discovered in the past”). So in other words check the archives from time to time and see what you can find. Register so that I know you are reading the post and get email updates.
